Orobae is the new hype boba drink place in irvine.
Supercharger is in the same plaza and parking is plenty

They will always have a line, if its at the salon next door its like a 15-20min wait to the cashier, but usually ppl wait more than 30min.

The strategy is to go during off times on a weekday, but weekends are near impossible

If its your first time they will ask u to drink it in front of them and make sure it fits ur needs.

Overall good experience but the wait is a little deterring (from someone in the bay where online ordering is the norm lol)

Overall rising phoenix less ice less sweet is pretty good.

I've been going to Orobae since their soft opening and most of the time their Rising Phoenix has been consistently great. When it comes to tea aficionados, these guys know what they serve. Rising Phoenix is my absolute favorite milk tea, so my subjective opinion is 10/5 stars. Everything from taste, texture, and tapioca has made this milk tea spot the golden standard.

The PERFECT cup of boba. I'm telling you, I dream of this place. Yes this is that boba place with the LONG line at all hours of the day. I wanted to not be impressed by this place since it takes like 30 min-1 hr to order and another 30 min for the order to be ready....but Orobae just nails their craft of tea, milk tea, and boba. I've rarely had a boba place I think about often, and I have tried so many. Their rising phoenix milk tea is a personal favorite, but you can't go wrong with just about any. Their roasted teas are chef's kiss! If you don't appreciate tea you should go elsewhere. This is truly a place for milk tea connoisseurs. I did sweetness 2 and it's still super creamy and the sweetness of boba is enough tor me. Also the BOBA flavor and texture is undefeated for me.

I would come with friends so the wait is more bearable. There are some shops you can look at around. Note that there's no seating inside, they only take all orders outside. No cash only card.

People have always been wondering why the line here is so long, and it is based on the strength of their teas and service. My go to order is the Gyokuro Green Milk Tea with a sweetness level of 3/5 (which is actually very conservative, raise the sugar level a little bit if you're used to more sugar) and regular ice. The flavor of the tea is very apparent and the milk doesn't give me that "bloaty" feeling that often happens with other places. Their service is great, making sure to make adjustments to your tea if it is not to your liking and even asking if it is your first time there!

Orobae is among the finest (and inexpensive) boba shops in Irvine now, and based on this line, they are due for an expansion at some point.

I love Orobae! I either get the gyokuro green milk tea or the rising phoenix oolong milk tea.

Their milk teas taste high quality and have the perfect amount of tea flavor strength. I would recommend getting regular ice. The drink was on the warmer side until I mixed it with the ice. Their boba is so good and has the perfect texture! I got a 5 sweetness which is their regular, but wished I got a 4. I'm usually a 75% sweetness girl so I wish I stuck to my normal sweetness level.

Lines can get pretty long, so be prepared to wait!

I was hesitant to try this place because of the super long line but my friend insisted it was great and she wasn't wrong. We arrived and ended up waiting on line for ~40 mins until we reached the tent to order (only employees are allowed inside the store so there isn't really an ambiance). We ordered the rising Phoenix and metal Buddha oolong bubble tea, as well as the longjing pure tea. The sweetness ranges from 1 to 5. If you ask for no ice, the drink will be warm.
After about 10 mins we got our orders and were told we could try our drinks and let them know if it needed any adjustments. I really liked my metal buddha at level 3 sweetness but my partner, who doesn't like sweet drinks as much, thought the level 3 rising Phoenix was a little too sweet. The worker happily brought the drink into the store to adjust to level 2 and my partner was more satisfied but wished they had an in between 2-3 sweetness (which is 50% sweetness in other stores). Unfortunately they didn't do 50% sweetness. Regardless, the tea was really flavorful and the bubbles were warm and chewy. I'll come back for more when I'm nearby!

Just amazing and my go to boba spot!

I usually get the raising phoenix oolong milk tea with boba. Large 2 pump sweetness. Always hit the spot and on point every time I order.

For those regulars, you know the line can get very long depending when you go. Probably 30 minutes minimum but truly worth it. Once you order, you would get the drink pretty fast which is good.

Felix, maybe the owner or manager, super cool dude and I love how they trained they staff. They will ask you if you had it before and to try it before you leave to make sure it's to your liking. Not a lot of places do that and that shows why this place is so busy.
